Simon Singh's Black Chamber

The Black Chamber contains a variety of codes, each with an explanation of how the code works, some history that puts the code in context, and an interactive tool that will allow you to encrypt and decrypt messages. It provides students with an aid to understanding the code and the means to create them.


NRICH Maths

Southampton University Cipher Challenge

A code breaking competition for secondary school pupils across the UK. Shools can enter teams or individuals and can win prizes including an IBM thinkpad and £3000 cash!
